Pentair ScreenLogic2 Connection and Wireless Kit

I read the manual before purchasing to make sure I could install it myself. I installed it in no time. I used the existing wiring I had for the wireless remote that broke, and same case that was screwed to the wall, just replaced the green board that goes inside. Never had a connection issue, works perfectly!!

Helpful to review the documentation online (Pentair website) to plan the install before ordering. There is a transceiver that goes near your control panel, and a second transceiver and a small interface unit (with web server) that goes near your network switch / router / access point. Installation, once organized, is easy.The Windows app (free download from Pentair) is gorgeous. The Android apps are functional but not beautiful; the iPhone app is great. ScreenLogic is *essential* if you need to be able to control pool/spa functions remotely.

Instructions lacking. Works intermittently and can t get remote capability working. Therefore must be connected to WiFi to operate which means I could just walk over to indoor controller. Greatly lacking in technical support. Website message says to contact a local pool service.

First, PCP was awesome. Great price, on time delivery. I had done my research, so I knew what the installation entailed. I installed the Pentair Screenlogic 2 hardware and a new pump breaker in about an hour. The software is little tricky as the PC program brings up an initial window with a button to launch the control application or the configuration application. Once I figured out what it was doing, it was easy to get into the software to fix the programming on my variable speed pump. But come on Pentair, once everything is configured, I just want to launch the control application. "Programming" the EasyTouch is not the easiest thing. You have to understand the priorities it uses when two schedules are active. You also have to be aware that the EasyTouch only allows for 12 programming items (schedules, egg timers and one-time events). On the 13th it silently fails and even if you delete another item, the 13th item will never work. You must delete it and add it again. Oh yes, the Android app is awful for anything but controlling the circuits. The iPhone app is much better. It has been close to two years since the Android app was updated. Perhaps Pentair will get their software act together some day. So I took back 1 star for the software being a bit of a pain.

I've been looking to add Screenlogic to our 4 year old pool that had an Easytouch system and an older Pentair wireless remote. PoolCleaningParts had the best price available, shipping was quick, and the product arrived in good condition. Installation was very easy as I simply replaced the existing antenna for the old wireless remote, plugged in the receiver and protocol adapter, and the app immediately recognized my system. I did have to download the software to my computer to be able to add a password for remote login. I agree with the other reviews that the instructions make this more confusing than it needs to be. While it's clear the technology isn't the latest and greatest (separate protocol adapter and wireless receiver, in 2020?) and the iOS app could be improved, it's still a HUGE upgrade on using the older remote. So much easier to program and change settings on the pool. Wish I had upgraded years ago!
