Pentair Clean & Clear Plus 520 Sq. Ft. Cartridge Filter

Great product. Excellent customer service!!!

Replaced DE filter which was difficult to maintain. This new filter improved flow and throughput significantly and I was able to reduce the pump speed without getting a low flow warning from the salt cell. Excellent as most Pentair products.

Fairly easy to install. Works as intended. Unfortunately, in replacing the old Pentair DE filter, the input and output ports were reversed so I had to re-plumb. Not sure how the first reviewer could get that done in 20 minutes.

I was referred by a friend of mine to PCP. PCP prices very competitively and the service was exceeded all expectations. After placing the order I received a confirming phone call within 2 hours. They asked if I would be home in the afternoon because delivery could be made within 6 hours of order placement! It turns out they have a local warehouse. My friend gets his deliveries in LA within 48 hours. This was a self-install. In regard to the filter, I was replacing a Pentair DE filter that was directed connected to the Pentair standard backwash valve. Those backwash dimensions were a perfect dimensional match for this 520 Filter so no piping mods were required. I was able to just use the slip couplings. My only surprise was how cloudy my pool got from the swap despite care in removing the DE filter. It took 54 hours of circulation to get the water sparkling clear. The first 36 hours showed no improvement and I was getting concerned the Cartridge Filter Tech wasn't good enough. Patience prevailed.
